VORN doBRAN
VORN doBRAN was a dwarf who lived in the 2nd millennium BGC in the land of Zvardheim (known in modern times as The Ebon Isle).
He is estimated to have lived from c. 1950 to c. 1690 BGC. His tomb has yet to be found to confirm exact dates.
VORN is believed to have been an aspiring bard of Kol Narga, not the Chief Bard (whose works remain unfound), but perhaps an apprentice. By happenstance, many of his songs escaped the destruction of his homehold, having been transcribed by Zan Zegryb, an elven scholar who would later write several books, some of which ended up in the Great Library of Oathkeep.
VORN's transcribed works comprise the majority of known first-hand accounts of the history of Nordheim through the end of the second millennium BGC (after which elven records begin to describe the region). VORN's prejudices are well known, so the accounts must be taken with some skepticism, but as no other primary sources exist until at least 1372 BGC (and those are disputed), the modern understanding of that time period in the region is largely based on his original songs.
